“Hubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble………”
It was the night of Halloween. The spookiest of all nights! All of the witches from the four corners of the universe have been invited to attend a midnight party at the spooky castle of Terror. Somehow, I ended up at the castle of Terror on Halloween night. The guests were starting to arrive. I was on top of a tower and I looked down and saw the gang of witches ready to start their party (which would end at dawn).
There was only a small hole I could peer through without the witches seeing me easily. But if I was not extremely careful, they would still be able to see me through the small hole. Unfortunately, about two seconds before starting their midnight party, one of them saw me peering through the hole. The evil, green-skinned, crooked-nosed witch with fingers as sharp as talons, started flying at me in full speed and tried to knock me over. Struck dead with fear, I could feel my heart beating rapidly. I struggled to keep my balance and nearly fell over. Meanwhile the witches started to laugh wickedly at me …
I could hear the wicked laughter echoing in my head as my mum called me for my breakfast. Troubled by that horrible nightmare I still could not make out if it was the witch calling me or my mum. Looking around, I realised that it was my bedroom. I can’t explain how relieved I was to wake up from that terrible dream!
Deep in a gloomy cave dancing flames roar under a pitch-black cauldron. Inside where the bubbles float miniature spiders swirl. Tap tap tap the water drips from the ceiling that is thick with cob webs and bats hanging upside down.
A wicked witch mixes the gooey liquid and tries it out as the poisonous snakes slither on the damp, dirty floor. She catches one of them and drops it into her soup. The old woman tastes her mixture again and again adding a new ingredient every time.
Finally she is happy with the flavour of her brew and has dinner. Now it is time for a mischief. The crone mounts her broom and flies off into the darkness of the night.
What is she up to?..
Mildred the Witch
As Mildred the Witch soared through the icy blue midnight sky, her caldron swayed underneath her. The sparkly frost tingled on her spiky pointy nose and her cloak flew around in the freezing night-time air. The midnight party was only minutes away and Mildred was so excited!
The party was held every full moon in a clearing in the middle of the old spooky woods and had been taking place for as long as Mildred could remember. This was a long time as she was 117 years old which meant that was an awful lot of parties to think of!!
“The midnight party has begun! “ Shouted the Grand High Witch as Mildred expertly landed her broomstick in the clearing. She said hello to some of her oldest friends as she made her way to the middle of the woods and Mildred could hear the Grand High Witch cackling her awful scratchy laugh.
All of the Witches got in a circle and started chanting their spells in a sing song fashion. They swayed and moved with the rhythm of the chant…..this was going to be a good spell!
The chanting came to a climax, and then there was a mighty boom! Mildred’s hat fell over her eyes. All the witches coughed and spluttered as the smoke surrounded them, then pop there in front of them was a bright pink cake shop!
What a sight it was, chocolate éclairs jam donuts, cream cakes of all shapes and sizes. All the witches agreed this was the most successful of spells.
The Witches Servant
Storming through the woods, leaves crunched under his feet, occasionally a twig snapped, all the while Archie was panting at this side. Suddenly Archie spotted some steps, Ben frantically chased after him. When he reached the bottom of the descent, he knew he was in big trouble. The wind sounded as if wild wolves were howling, the rain gushed down from the angry sky above. Out of the corner if his eye he spotted a shape that he couldn’t make out, a hunched figure with a peculiarly long nose, and a tall crooked hat. He then realised he was staring at an old wicked witch.
Then the witch started to walk towards him, he tried to back away, but behind him the door slammed shut by the magic of her wand. Worried and anxious he murmured “Who are you?” he leant out to clutch his dog Archie. He wasn’t however clutching a dog but a slippery slimy frog. The witch laughed wickedly, “Here is your room,” she announced. Anybody who enters this cave will be my slave!” Ben was frozen with fear, she put him into a disgusting, damp and dingy cave. Mice scuttled to see him, to Ben’s amazement they could all speak! One mouse said, “You’re going to be her slave!” Once mouse said “You’re going to be her slave, escape while you still can!” “But how?” replied Ben. “There’s is a trap door around here, replied another. Then they all heard a voice coming from the witch, she was gleefully singing about her new slave. Out of the key hole he could see her walking into her room, was that her wand left behind? After seeing this, he asked the mice if they had a clue where the trap door was. The mice directed him to the door. He entered the trap door to find he was back in the hallway. Using the wand Ben turned the slippery slimy frog back into his dog. Using the only magical words he knew, “Hubble, bubble, toil and trouble,” he escaped back into the woods. He ran as fast as he could without looking back. Eventually, he arrived back at his house to find his mum standing at the door.
On one very extremely ordinary day I went to put my pets away because they had been out in the garden all day and it appeared I happened to look up into the sky and I spotted a weird black shadow flying over my garden… What was it. Was there going to be a thunderstorm,or was it some sort really big bird that was rare or nobody knew about. But as I was about to pick one of my pets up to put it to bed the shadow came closer to me and I saw a face.
Then this is when the shadow started to freak me out and when I thought I was dreaming. I saw a big green face with a massive green wart on the end of the weird figure’s nose just exactly like the size of a big fat , hairy and green baby toad. Plus she was wearing a big black cape that was so long that it reached her big massive feet. Just at that second she came down and landed right next to me with a big long broomstick then I discovered this weird figure standing right next to me was a witch. Well not one of those wicked witches that you sometimes see on the TV at halloween if your lucky one of those good witches believe it or not.
I said to the witch “what do you want”. “wheres the hospital”she exclaimed.”Just down the road”I whispered back to her”Anyway why”. “I’m ill and I don’t want to be ill for my friends party”She wailed.
Ok “BYE BYE” I shouted back up at her and with a wave of her wand and a couple of magic words she had disappeared. But in the end really she was only a bit sick and wanted to to know where the hospital was so she was well enough to go to her best friends party otherwise her best friend would be upset if she didn’t come .

That evening she came back and swept me off my feet! In a couple of minutes we were hovering over a coven of witches that she knew. That’s when I discovered she had taken me to her friends party!
There were all sorts of witch things that were for sale just like a summer BBQ. Once we had looked around at all the things on sale, the bell rang and then we all had to eat our tea and it was seriously delicious. Then, sadly that’s when we had to leave, I said goodbye to all the friends that I had made.
But then suddenly I awoke to the sound of my brother’s crying and that’s when I knew it was one of those weird wonderful dreams that I sometimes have!!!
As it turned 10:00pm on Halloween the most scariest nights of all i heard a cackle then a meow i looked up and i saw a with and her cat chasing me on her broom, I screamed and ran as fast as i could. When I got home I ran upstairs got my pj on and hid under the covers. The next morning I told my mum she gave little chuckle and said” never go outside by your self on the night of Halloween.” Now from that day forward i never go outside.
My body was filled with a horrified chill
Like somebody is threatening to kill
My face is numb
I am just begging for my mum
Her magic hurts me straight away
All the witches are staring at me like I am the prey
I hear a scream and a crash
Very soon I will be human mash
A Witch’s Voice
I was out late last night and heard a witch’s voice:
I am the wicked witch,
I fly on my broomstick,
Wondering which victim I should pick.
I cast all amusing spells!
E.g. turning boys into girls!
Horrendously, I cackle,
Hurting someone with a rugby tackle.
Yes, I am the wicked witch.
You may mock my rasping voice,
But you won’t when I pick a spell of my choice!
I have eyes, yellow like a hawk,
Out of my way, unless you want to fly to New York.
In my long conical hat,
I might have a rat! Or a bat! So BEWARE!
My nose, a dagger,
You better stagger!!!
Yes, I am the wicked witch.
My ebony pimples and black moles,
Will send you crashing into poles!
I’ll grind you up into a sticky stew,
Until I go blue!
I’ll grind you up into a human mash!
Mmm…I don’t want the cash, I want YOU!
Yes, I am the wicked witch.
It was the gloomy, scary night of Halloween. Nearly everybody was dress up for this fun expedition around the spooky streets surrounded by lot of witches, ghost, cats, pumpkins and many more. My friends and I were excitedly getting ready to do our trick or treating, but I had a feeling that something suspicious was going to happen. I decided to tell my friends who told me,
“we know something is going to happen because it’s Halloween!”
“Ah” we all screamed. My brother started to laugh “ha, ha, ha”. My friends and I were horrified as the ghost costume of my brother loomed over us.
Later, we went to the first house and it was my Nan’s. We crept up and knocked on the door when something big and scary came out. The darkened figure was covered from head to toe with hair, it’s eyes glowered with illuminated light. I could just make out four enormous furry legs, two short, spikey ears and a long, gunk drizzling, snarling muzzle.
“Ahhh!” We turned and fled for fear of the dreadful, unspeakable monster.
The misty clouds covered the moon, the moon was no longer my company. As I stood there, perplexed, horrifying thoughts travelled through my body as rapid as lightning. There the cruel witches stood, right in front of me. Even though, they were staring somewhere else, I knew soon they will look at me……. The terror surrounded my body and laughed wickedly. Cold sweat dripped from my boiling forehead while I watched closely. It got dark , got lonely , I got apprehensive. Suddenly, out of a blink one of the witches caught me scanning through their spells. I ran , I ran, I R-A-N !!! She caught me and loomed over me with anger, talking to me impolitely.
”Please don’t eat me or cast a spell,” I replied with my hands trembling.
” Why would I ? , you slobbering THEIF!!!!” she answered me back. ” I will rather put you in my cauldron to make one of my children spells,” she smiled.
” Oh, please don’t,” I cried with my LAST tears.
It was to late she shaked me aggressively. The breeze kissed my cheek softly while the rustling leaves formed a group.
She shaked, SSSSSHHHHHAAAAAKKKKKEEEEEDDDDD!!
” Ruby, Ruby, RUBY! wake up you will be late for school,” someone explained.
Was that mummy? Please say it was.
” Ruby, I’ll tell you once to wake up!!” Replied my mum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I woke up relieved and astonished! I joyfully went to school.
Wait up, I would have told you that a dark figure miraculously appeared in Ruby’s bedroom, was that the witch?………………………
When the moon is out, the sun is down,
There is trouble all around.
Witches come, on broom sticks ride,
Magic from the other side.
Clouds on fire, her desire,
Flying, flying, up and higher.
A silhouette against the sky,
Goodbye my friend, it’s time to die.
On the most spookiest night of the year little kids talked about dead spirits that lurk around and take your candy, zombies that take your fresh flesh but one thing everyone talks about the spookiest most ugliest the witch of the west. Her hair is as black as the night sky and her crooked black hat is pointy and straight, her piercing eyes look straight into you .
But this time of year rumor has it that she’ll swoop across the pitch black sky through fog and cast a spell on all the trick or treaters. Some say her spell goes hubble, bubble , boil and trouble those nasty words will come out of dried lips and nasty breath her face will even freeze you because of the ugly green wart that sits on her nose.
Everyone has to watch out this Halloween for the witch of the west swooping and sneaking with her broken broom and listen for a voice in the misty air that’s as squeaky and terrifying as a rat
It was an unusual day….the raindrops on the bushes clung to the blades of grass. Sadly, the poor old animals had been slaughtered by hundreds of monstrous little creatures, lurking in the dark, as the bushes were filled with flitting shadows. Up above the black bushes, the ghastly moon loomed over the sky, threatening those who dared to pass. The mystical mist was scattered like a handful of coloured powder- first, it changed to red, and then to orange, and the moon rose in a glorious explosion of tawny gold. As dark as the darkest hours of night, an eerie silhouette wafted against the menacing sky… Click. Click. Click. Two horrible fluorescent eyes appeared at once. Shockingly everyone- everything froze, petrified. It was almost as if time had been frozen. All of a sudden, five spindly, bony fingers reached towards the sky…
“Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble.”
I could here cries last night and now I could hear spells.
“Fillet of a fenny snake, in the cauldron boil and bake.”
I don’t know what was happening to me. Was I unconscious? No I couldn’t have been I was with my friend Jack.” come on now Peter your walking too slow,” said Jack to me. I decided to walk faster but not talk.
“Eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog”
“Jack can you hear those sounds? I asked in a scared tone.”
“Yes I can hear them too. They are creeping me out.” Replied Jack but not looking so worried.
“lets go home I’m too scared and I also heard cries last night,”
“Are you kidding! I also heard cries yesterday night too! but lets keep walking I’ve been wanting this day since January so we are definitely going to keep walking.
“fine we’ll trick or treat for half an hour then strait home OK”
went trick or treating for ten minutes then I left Jack and went home. When I got home I rang the doorbell. DING!DONG!
No one opened the door. Then suddenly the door shot open with no one there. Slowly, I walked inside plunked my sweets on the floor and. Boo! my mum, dad, sister neighbours and Jack came and scared me to daylights everyone was trying to scare me. It was all a massive prank. The spells, the cries and Jack was lying about the cries and spells. Everyone told me what was going on then we had a huge party and went to bed at midnight.
With her flaming broom and fearful frights a witch goes flying over the dark, orange nights,
Piercing eyes, pointed hat, and a cape made out of a roasted cat,
And as she flies over a midnight town, she casts spells on people who are wearing gowns,
Her shadow glides, she forms many bribes, and disappears into the distance, as she flies,
Witches, Witches, they are not real, but, who knows, they might be in a dark, dark corner of our world……….
Witches in town
On a gloomy night, Witches are there to give you a fright!
Flying through the air with a ghostly stare,
They fly through the air leaving you in despair,
“Hubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble, rise dead zombies, as cauldron Bubble!”
Cackles of laughter, pointy hat, a Witch is very frightening, with all of that!
Through the orange night a Witch swiftly flies, into the distance, with fiery eyes.

Once a year a wicked witch bewitches houses and creates a dark magical cloud. The cloud contains a variety of colours such as orange, purple and black as dark as the witches cloak. Your pulse will be racing with the cackling and booming of the witches. The waving trees will crash loudly. A chosen one must lift the spell by defeating the witch and burn her coned hat before the sun rises.
The Haunting Night!
It is true ….. do witches exist?
It was Halloween, the night when it is dark and frightening.
Aria and I were walking down Chester Lane when we casually looked up and saw a witch!
“No…it can’t be,” I said under my breathe,
“But it is,” Aria replied in a questioning tone.
I thought my mind was going crazy, but then I remembered that this is the time of year when things creep out of the darkness.
The witch had glowing green eyes and an evil cackle. Invisible predators and tree trunks, like prison bars lurked in the distance.
The wind picked up velocity and started to howl like a wounded wolf. Vicious murmers of ..”Hubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble”, could be heard drawing closer.
As I looked up onto the fading magenta sky, I now knew that witches are real.
Twas the night of Halloween. The spookiest of all nights! All of the witches from the four corners of the universe have been invited to attend at midnight party at the spooky castle of Terror. Hisses and squawks filled the air as a mysterious, shaddowed figure approached the wicked wood (which is what the local towns people called it as it was said to have witches living in it). The silhouette was pitch black, just a tiny bit lighter than the inky, blue sky. Stars shined like fairy lights as the figure flew on an a venerable broomstick. The figure cackled, and a soft-looking animal appeared out of thin air and made a meowing sound. “Meow…” meowed the figure’s pet. An ancient pot hung, as if on string, from the centre of the broom.
“Mmwwaaaahhhhaaaaahhhaaaahhhhaaaaahhhaaaaaaaaa!!!” cackled the figure energetic and creepily.
‘AAAAAAAGH!’ I screamed. The witch, holding her broomstick in one hand, and her other one scratching the end of her huge, green chin, fell back onto my carpet, bursting into laughter that sounded very much like . . .
‘Lily! Is that you? You gave me such a fright!” I cried disbelievingly, stepping back from my friend, Lily, who had brought herself back to her feet.
“H-happy Hallow-ween,” choked Lily while laughing continuously. Frowning, I walked forwards and stepped in front of the mirror. I hated my costume. Anyone who saw the black spots or the red, shiny shell were bound to start laughing at me. My costume was of a ladybird, which had small, silver wings emerging from the shell. My mum had put a hairband with antennas on them onto my head, completing my look as a ladybird. I wished I was a witch like Lily, wearing a mask that was as green as grass, holding a broomstick that was so realistic, perching a black hat that was a black mountain on my head.
Before I could complain any longer, I heard a large BANG, CRASH, and then the screeches of cats that made Lily stop laughing immediately. Curiously, I poked my head out of the kitchen door. The light breeze hit me instantly. The woods came into view, which were black-coloured against the reddening sky. Everything looked normal except my cat, Tia, who’s hairs were standing on end, looking frightened. Following her gaze, I saw a silhouette of a woman, perched on what looked like a stick, wearing a hat as black as midnight, scratching its chin with nails that were like a tiger’s massive claws. It was a –
“WIIIIIIIITCH!” I screamed in my high pitched voice that had definitely been carried around the whole neighbourhood.
Jane was in the graveyard, standing beside the graves of her mother and father. It was the night of Halloween, and she was dressed up as a ghost. A white sheet was draped on her with two holes for eyes. Her orphanage wasn’t very creative when it came to dressing up as things or people, especially for Halloween. The moon was shining brightly and it was the only source of light around. She heard the laughter of the other children as they walked passed, dressed as bats and spiders. Jane looked up as she heard a whooshing sound above her. A silhouette was seen against the full moon, as vague as hazy glass. It came closer and soon Jane realised what it was. ‘AAARRRGGGHHH’ screamed Jane, ‘WWWIIITTTCCCHHH!’ Everything and everyone became dead silent as they watched the witch-like figure reach the ground…
With two, jewelled eyes and a wicked, cracked grin, this witch was like any other traditional one. A hooked nose that looked like a beak protruded from her face. Talons as long as daggers sprang from the tips of her wrinkled, folded fingers. Her brown broom sat still in the air, waiting further orders from the witch. Woosh. A gust of forceful wind picked up the witch on the broom and took it away into the Halloween night.
The leaves crackled and the wind whirled around on the wintry autumnal night. After the sun had said its goodbyes and went to rest beneath the ground, the sky turned darker. The grey moon took the sun’s place, and set itself amongst millions of tiny jewels that lighted up the sky, making sure it was still visible behind the peach-coloured clouds. A silhouette on a broomstick, as jet-black as a dark shadow, hovered in mid-air against the vibrant colours of the phantasmagorical night sky. It was distinct that she was a witch; with her traditional witch’s hat and silvery cloak, what else could it be?
It was the night before Halloween and as everyone was getting ready for the worst night of the worst night of their lives. Everyone was so distracted by their plans that they did not notice weirds things happening there were broomsticks and spell books all over the street. All this was happening too fast until on Halloween night were everyone had turned into evil witches who were using the spell books to turn a lovely innocent family who did not celebrate Halloween into nasty evil crooks.
