S6 Tutoring Academy has an established programme, catered to each child as an individual, that formulates an effective structure used to monitor progress throughout 1-2-1 tuition with one of our experienced tutors. Each child receives their own personal tutor, providing consistency and familiarity for the entire length of tuition.
At S6, not only do we focus on academic progress regarding the national curriculum, we also focus on personal development and life skills to create a well-rounded individual that is confident in embracing their future. Our main aim is to provide an overall balance within each child’s learning journey, consisting of a wealth of subjects, that will allow them to thrive and feel completely at ease throughout their education.

We aim to complement our classroom study with daily practical activity, encouraging those all-important life skills which are invaluable. We find that most children tend to absorb information fully by experiencing each topic outside of the classroom. Some of our activities may include trips to:

- Parks/outdoor areas
- Zoos/wildlife centres
- Shops and supermarkets
- Museums
- Art Galleries
A main concern for parents is that their children may lack social interaction by being home-schooled, however we are linked with many home-education groups in and around Essex. These groups host regular interactive sessions, improving each child’s social and communicative skills.
How does it work?
Our tutor is solely dedicated to your child and will plan each day according to their requirements. Classes will be based from our centre in Billericay, which houses a range of facilities catered for students of all ages. We work within usual school hours to make the transition to home-schooling as realistic and structured as possible. Food and travel to/from home can be provided as extra services within your tailored package.
We offer both full-time and part-time tutoring. Full-time would mean the child has no involvement with their current/previous school or local education authority. Part-time tuition would involve regular updates, visits and communication between us and the current school, ensuring that our programme of study is similar to what is being taught at school.
Our flexibility means that you can choose your own term times and can liaise with our tutor regarding any unavailable dates.
