Why Learn to Play the Piano?

The benefits of learning to play the piano are well documented.  Research has shown that children who have participated in piano lessons tend to perform better in the classroom and score higher in spatial reasoning and maths and also have a broader awareness of vocabulary.

In addition to the academic benefits, playing the piano is also known to be effective at dealing with stress, anxiety and concentration problems and significantly helps with hand/eye coordination and the fostering of creative skills.

How can we help?

S6 Tutoring Academy are able to offer comprehensive practical and theory based piano lessons to suits students of all ages.

We will work to the syllabus of your choice and ensure that your child covers the following:

• Technique
• Scales
• Arpeggios
• Broken Chords
• Sight Reading
• Aural tests
• All aspects of music theory

If your child would prefer to play more contemporary music, we will happily combine this into their schedule.  If they simply want to play for fun and do not want to take exams, we will be equally happy to support their musical journey!
