“STOP!” shouted Lucy.
“AAH! STOP IT!” Lucy shouted.
All she could hear is dog barking, the Kids shouting, the bird squawking and the shed getting built.
“AAH!!!!! SHUT UP!” shouted Lucy again. She decided to go outside for some peace and quiet, but when she went outside all she could hear was the noise from the house.
She decided to go shopping to get even more peace and quiet. Lucy saw her friend Sam.
“Hello!” said Sam.
“Hello!” replied Lucy.
“How are you today Lucy?” asked Sam
“Not good,” replied Lucy
“Why?” asked Sam
“All I can hear is noise. Sorry have to go. Bye!” Replied Lucy
“Bye!” replied Sam.
When she finished shopping she heard screaming! “AAH!” shouted Lucy. She ran home to rest. When she had a rest she felt a lot better.
Hi, my name is Amelia and my life can be pretty hectic a times. I usually always make mistakes such as: Pouring wine over my boss at an important meeting with the government (I get fired for one little, clumsy mistake), setting a bin on fire (how was I supposed to know that the matches were still working?) and the biggest mistake of all was babysitting by sisters` twins. And this is where my story begins…
Brring! Brring! My telephone rang and I went to pick it up. It was my sister. And she was asking me to babysit her twins! To be polite, I said yes and she told me to be at her house at 4 o` clock sharp. I replied and said ok, and then I put the phone down. After I put the phone down, I was practically sweating. Babysit? Twins? My mind was throbbing in my useless brain. Well, the chance saying no to the question was 2 out of 10 as my sister was harsh on anyone who does not do what she says, or, if she does not get her own way she would scream or throw things. I had to babysit to stop my sister from getting in a bad mood. Besides it would only one day that I`ll need to survive…
I put my best clothes on (a beige lace top, a fuchsia leather jacket, beige skinny trousers and fuchsia velvet high heels) as fashion and fashionable people are one of the things that keep her in a good mood for, at least, a whole day. I drove in my favourite lilac car ( my sister always loves it as everything in there was purple, even the backseat windows were tinted purple and the seats were fluffy and the backseats had silk pillows and teddy bears) so I can impress her even more. When I parked at her house, she came running out to greet me.
“Amelia, you look like a fashion model in a beautiful car,” she said, amazed.
I beamed. “Thank you,” I said.
“You can come inside Amelia,” my sister said.
“But I need to sort out things my car,” I replied.
“I said come inside,” she snapped.
When she tells you to do something you have to do it otherwise you`ll find something coming your direction.
“OK, I`m coming, I`m coming,” I said quickly.
When I got into her house, it was enormous. All the walls in the entrance were painted cream and there was a huge sphere chandelier that hung from the ceiling. At the left hand side there were stairs that led to 7 bedrooms. Near the stairs, there were two toddlers who were playing with dolls. The minute they saw me, they started to shriek.
“Have I scared them?” I shouted over the piercing shrieking.
“No, it’s just that they do not warm up to people very quickly,” she replied.
My sister looked at her diamond-crusted watch.
“I`ll be back at 7.00pm, the twins are all yours,” she said before legging it out of the door.
“Ok, think Amelia, what are you going to do?” I asked myself.
“I know, I will put my fingers in my ears and whisper the alphabet,” I said brightly.
“A, b, c, d, e, f, g… this is not going to work,” I said, sighing.
“Ok, I am going to put them in their cradles and shut their bedroom door,” I said eagerly.
So I did it, and for the first time, they were quiet.
“Now my work is done, I can watch TV,” I whooped happily.
Although I thought my work was done, it was not as: while I watching TV, the twins crawled into the kitchen and poured 16 bags of flour down because they thought it was sugar. As I heard a big ‘thump’ that came from the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen, all I could see was flour. As I finished fanning the flour out of the kitchen windows, I saw two toddlers who were covered in flour. Before I could start clearing up the mess, I heard the front door open and I knew who it was. It was my sister! She walked into the kitchen and screamed.
“Amelia Cruz, get out of my house at once!” she shrieked.
She hurled a plate at me. I dodged it.
“It was not a pleasure being here,” I said sarcastically.
Then she chased me out of the door.
After the incident, we never contacted each other again. So that way, I can live my life and she can live her life and there will never be chaos again.
“Why are you lot so noisy?” said Miss Penny.
“We are noisy because it is the end of term ” replied Danny.
Miss Penny’s class were really excited because it was the end of term however she was fed. up with the noise, so she shouted at her class and said ” Stop talking otherwise you will be in silence for the rest of the day”.
Miss Penny had a really shy and polite girl in her class, when that girl spoke, she would sound very cute. This girl was called Daisy and Daisy’s friend was Danielle they both do not like noise at all, so if there is noise they will block their ears and carry on. Miss Penny went up to Daisy and Danielle and said ” Go and sit in the book corner until home time “. After a while it was home time and the two girls were very pleased to get out of the noisy atmosphere.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning, the sun pinched my cheeks and the breeze was cooling. My animated younger sister, Isabella, jumped up and down as she held onto my hand as we entered the crowded park. As I was as blind as a bat, she acted as my guide. Our parents had told her not to leave me, as I would not be able to find my way.
My sister had spied the ice-cream van and was tugging persistently at my arm “Please may I have an ice cream?” she cried out.
“Let’s have a go on the slide first and then you can have an ice cream.” I retorted, but the tugging on my arm had ceased and I could hear my sister no longer.
Panic was seeping into my head. How was I going to find my sister! I called out her name, but there was no reply. I stopped and stood still. I used the one sense that truly helped me, I listened.
I could hear; children laughing, parents chatting, the music from the brass band in the bandstand, ducks as they dove to catch the bread, fish leaping out of the water like dolphins, birds singing as they enjoyed the midday sun, squeaky swings like forks being drawn across a plate and football cheers as goals were scored.
All this background noise made me feel as deaf as a door post. I wished it was as silent as the grave. Then as an answer to my prayer, the melodious chime of the Ice-cream van cut through the noise as clear as a bell and I bolted in the direction of the music.
Then I heard my sister’s voice ordering a Mega Whippy Ice-cream, completely unaware of the pandemonium she had just caused.
One clear starry night, a girl called Sarah was getting ready to go to a concert with her friend called Cheryl. Sarah was a beautiful young girl who was only twenty and you could say the same thing about Cheryl but she had long black hair and a totally different attitude.
They got a taxi to the place the concert was being held, however this wasn’t one ordinary concert with an average singer or band it was their all time favourite singer Adele! They got out of the taxi to find a swarm of people.
“It’s very full tonight,” said Sarah,
“It sure is “replied Cheryl as they walked into the Packed O2 arena.
They finally got their seats and a member of staff had an announcement to make and he said that Adele was stuck in traffic and would be a bit late but they had a different singer in place. There was a large round of groans that followed the announcement.
“I wonder who that singer is” said Cheryl.
Soon after the announcement the man came on stage and shouted “give it up for Ozzy Ozbourne!”
Ozzy came onto the stage and started singing one of his heavy metal songs.
“It’s horrible!” shouted Sarah
Covering her ears up and looking like an old lady, but after what seemed like eternity Adele came on. We all cheered and parted the night away, and that is a very happy ending.
You can hear from towns
The car crashed
And then smashed
The repairs cost many pounds
I hear a lot of hounds
And they stop on the mounds
Hi, my name is Lillie, Lillie Harris. I am currently living with my mother and father because my husband (Leon) and my children (Lesley and Lizzy) are too noisy for my liking.
It all started two weeks ago, I was cooking, Leon was watching football, Lesley was talking to one of her friends on her phone and Lizzy was playing with her new doll. Leon could not stop shouting because his team was losing, Lesley was screaming because her friend was going on a date and Lizzy was crying her eyes out because her doll’s head fell off. The noise did not happen just once; it was continuous. It was like living with 500 baby elephants. I could not even sleep at night. After two months I decided to do something about it. I held a family meeting, I told Leon, Lesley and Lizzy that I had had enough of the noise and that I would be staying with my parents for two months. They begged and begged for me to stay but I just could not handle the noise. I had to have some quiet time to myself.
The next day I packed my bags, said goodbye to my family and drove away to my parent’s house. My parents were very happy to see me. I had not seen them in three months. I sprinted up the stairs to the bedroom that used to be mine, jumped into bed and fell asleep instantly.
I do miss my family… but I am happy to have peace and quiet.
“Shhhh!!!!” moaned Grace “Stop it” she shouted. All she could hear was her two annoying little brothers irritating her with their loud shrieking voices. She was trying to do her homework in a quiet place but there was nowhere to go. Her mum was cooking tea in the kitchen, her dad was in the back garden mowing the lawn and her brothers were fighting in the living room. “Now where am I going to do my homework?” she asked herself. Grace was wandering around the house looking for somewhere she couldn’t be disturbed but everywhere she went there was noise. She was as mad as the mad hatter running around looking for the perfect place. Suddenly she thought of an idea which was brilliant!!! “I know where I can go, in the shed, no one goes in there anymore” So she decided to go in and do her homework without being disturbed.
“Ella Ella stop shouting I need to work” said Nicole but Ella couldnt here her. “Oh Oh Ill never work” yelled Nicole. Ella had her friend John over o play. They was fiting over a toy give me give me give me give me I won’t the toy said Daisy Ella’s big sister. Nicole said Daisy can have it so you don’t make nois your can play in the garden. They went out and played on the slide menwhile Nicole had finished her work.
Catlain was sitting quietly in her neat, tidy lounge watching her tiny TV. She was as beautiful as a flamingo standing elegantly on one leg in a pool of fish.
Suddenly Catlains ear started to tiggle and she could hear singing but there was nobody around her. At that moment she felt like steaming smoke was going to come shooting out of her ears. She instantly thought of her mums stories she told before bed. She remembered fairies. Could it be that pretty, minute flying varies were in her ears?
She thought for a while and an angry fairy wearing a pretty pink dress came flying out her ear, The fairy was going on about the nasty humans when she mentioned the fairy secret. The fairy secret was that every fairy is real and not imaginery!
She told Catlain to touch her wings and feel that they were delicate. The said to her “put your thilthy, funny fingers in your ears when it is noisy, it will protect all the fairies”. The fairy flew back into her ear and Catlain believed in fairys from that day on and remembered to put her fingers in her ears when it was noisy.

Noisy,Noisy London town
You can hear the laughs of chattering clowns
The roars of cars coming down your street
The slam of butchers chopping up your meat
Noisy,Noisy London town
Hear the rumble of the underground
Emergency sirens bring the streets alive
And the thundering jets in the skies
Noisy, Noisy London town
I wish I could turn all the noise down
I yearn for the bird song and peace and quiet
Even all the money in the world just cant buy it .
Jane is a young twenty-five year old woman, but she has a phobia of visiting the dentist. Ever since her first frightful filling, she dreaded the place. She would start to twitch and shiver with fright. Unfortunately, she was going that day.
Later that day, Jane arrived at her worst nightmare. Goose bumps covered her face as she entered the enormous room, with a comfy chair positioned in the middle. Jane was astonished at how quick the entire thing went, but then the dentist informed her that she needed a filling! She decided to have it that day so she wouldn’t stress about it. Then, Jane gradually ebbed into the seat.
The dentist took out the scary tools and began to work. Jane hated the sound so she put a finger to each ear and opened wide. Ten minutes later, the dentist finished and allowed Jane to leave. Jane was very prod of herself.
Now Jane loves going to the dentist, as she was able to overcome her fear once, and now she thinks she can do it again.
“Eek!” snapped Ben. “Ahh!” shouted Rose. They both put their fingers in their ears.
“I hate the sound of the teachers chalk scratching slowly down the black board!” said Rose. “it reminds me of the rollercoasters zooming past, but squealing on its way,” murmured Rose. “Its horrible!” screamed Ben. “Yeah!” Replied Rose loudly. “Lets go home,” muttered Ben. “Yes” Replied Rose.
But then suddenly a big tall man pick them up(it was a security guard) by the coat and said “Where do you think you are going?” Ben hesitated, then murmured” just to get something for the teacher.” “Oh, ok then off you go then,” he boomed. “whew that was a close one,” whispered Rose. “Yes, it was,” Ben said. “Come on, lets get home,” she Muttered.
Over the glistening waters of the Hudson river ; New York city that never sleeps. A plane came crashing down in horror it was like a torpedo plunging into the depths of an abyss. My heart stopped. CRASH then a BOOM, the plane hit the the blanket of the blue water.
The noise of the tragic event deafened the every molecule of peacefulness ! My ears where blocked with a wall of noise. I could hear the plane sinking and perishing until a person shrieked ” O .M .G” at the top of his voice. Then the sounds of sirens rushed to the ebony smoke of a turbine failure. The people of the gun metal-coloured plane huddled on the wing of the aircraft.
I saw a fusillade of boats racing to the scar of the river. My mind was racing. I wanted to faint. I was desperate to back to my apartment but my feet where super-glued to the pavement. When all hope seemed lost, the boats arrived and stripped them from the wreckage of the skinned plane.
It was november the fifth, Janes family were taking her on a surprise outing for her birthday. Jane was so excited, she could hardly wait to find out where she was going. When she arrived she was horrified to discover it was a firework display! That was her worst nightmare, she’d been terrified since she was a small girl but she didn’t want to tell her family because it might upset them.
Just then the show started, Boom! Crash! Bang! went the fireworks. The rockets were as loud as bombs, the bangers howled like the wail of a siren, the catherine wheels spun round and round and made Jane feel sick. “Ahh!” screamed Jane as thousands of rockets exploded in the midnight sky, “I can’t take much more of this”. Jane stuck her fingers into her ears and fled as a fast as her legs could carry her.
Crackle bang went the thunder as loud as a lion’s roar. I was nervously shaking under the cosy warm duvet. As the humungus thunder started to roll away my hearing became more acutelike some preay hearing a predator approaching. I could hear my neighbours snoring loudly, two houses away!
Suddenly I heard a strange ticking noise. It wasn’t the clock, beacuse that doesn’t make a ticking noise. It was very strange, so I decided to go an investigate. I searched all round the house, top to bottom, but no luck. Then I remembered we had an attic. As I approached and opened the door, the ticking noise stopped. I was puzzled, so I just closed the door, but as soon as I did, the noise started again. I stood there, staring at the door, pondering about the noise. All of a sudden I felt a chilly breeze run down my spine.
The day eventually came, I was moving house. My mum saw this haunted Victorian house, she wasn’t the person who believed in supernatural phenomenon. The house was very remote, cut off from the city. I opened the stained glass door, creak! The sound was so deafening I was astonished the windows didn’t shatter.
That evening, a full moon lit up the many fields surrounding my house. My parents through an immesne party. My closet and favourite relatives had ventured to, in my mum words, exquisite house. I garthered all my many relatives from the kitchen to the marble floor of the lobby.
“Who would like to play hide and seek?” I asked. Everybody whispered yes under the detection of the eagle eyed parents. I elected Grace, who was in a posh linen dress to count. “One……two……three” she whispered quietly.
Everyone dashed away at once. I searched for a obsqure hiding spot. Only one place was that was that good, it was the spooky attic. I sauntered up to the attic silently, I could have sworn someone or something as following me. I had a gut churning screech, I looked down the long, thin bannaster. I’d seen this unique scratch mark before. A tiger…..!
THE HORRID, LOUD NOISE!!!
I was at yoga doing my stretches, my yoga teacher went to put some music on so it was nice and relaxing. We got through the first song but then suddenly the CD player started playing up and it was as loud as anything. At first, I thought it was a fire alarm but then Jo my yoga teacher found out it wasn’t, because the red light wasn’t flashing. Jo new it was the CD player, because the lovely music wasn’t playing any more. You couldn’t do anything to stop the terrible sound, after a little while the annoying screech gave you a really bad headache. Jo tried to turn the CD player off but couldn’t, so she gave it a little kick and it stopped. Then it was back to yoga and peaceful music and my headache gradually passed.
I, Livia Jorden, lived in a miniture town called Green Garden, west of the United States of America. I had unuasally big, green eyes with thick, chocolate brown hair. On the inside I was a rather sweet child, friendly, brain-storming, shy little girl with a huge grinning smile from cheek to cheek. Others I was a vicious, evil, cunning, brutal, devilish child frome hell; I dared, I gambled and as I grew older and older it grew worse. Like ivy, slowly digesting a tree with its green leaves. I wore a dull, boring, grey sweat shirt with old, skinny jeans and wellingtons. Not very imaginative.
One horrifying day I cruelly challenged this harsh boy to drive a car over a hill, he agreed. Later, as the sun was setting the boy finally came to where he would suffer…… the hillside. My friend persuaded him soothingly to go first. Up my sleeve I had a trick, I knew he wasn’t going to make the jump, it was physically impossible! (I didn’t even know his name !) Now it was time for revenge! I wanted to get my fantasic, majestic critical revenge on this boy because he shoved me in the playground, that is enough to tick me off and I was ferocious! He loaded his ancient, rusty engine, which puffed heavy smoke. Then he finally flew into the air, I felt as if it was in slow-motion, like in the movie The Matrix. Was he actually going to make it? He flew straight into the hill and he was all jumbled up like pieces of a puzzle! The schreeching noises of the tires were still ringing in peoples ears; gasps and screams filled the area, terrifying and petrifying sounds from everywhere. Soon sirens of ambulnces and police destoyed the echo of voices. Was he dead? What have I done………
In the morning, when the noises start once again those sounds that drive you mad but sometimes just those sounds make a beautiful harmony.
The brrrrrrrrrrr of the jack hammer or the bang of the hammer all just hurt your ears. Though when you hear that music play, the scales on a piano or the rhythm of a drum you like to hear it sounds perfect to your ear.
When metal screeches over metal it makes you shiver with fear. Just then you hear the whisper of the gentle breeze rustling through golden leaves.
The screeching of tyres, the blare of a horn filling the air, leaving you in despair – and then you hear the melodious magpies sing, the blackbirds trill in their trees.
Wouldn’t it be sad if we couldn’t hear?
“BE QUIET!!” Bellowed Dad “I’m trying to work!” Dad was working on this boring work project whilst me and my sister were being loud because we were playing “Who’s the nosiest.” “Go upstairs and play if you’re going to be so loud!” shouted Mum, “okay” shouted Emily my little sister.
So me and my little sister went upstairs to play, but when we got there, there was icy silence. Then we heard footsteps, followed by a creaky door opening slightly. All of a sudden something ran past very quickly, then I heard a scream in the distance. Right then something huge was right in front of us, we sprinted downstairs and screamed “Dad! Dad! There is something up there!”
Just then something came downstairs, but it wasn’t a monster just our dog Bella, wagging her tail gleefully with a ball in her wet, slobbery mouth!
It was a gloomy, foggy night and no-one was in sight except from a person dressed up all in black. The shadow was big and the street lights flickered, as the person entered the house. She took of her black cloak and hung it up. It appeared that no one had lived in the house for some time. The wallpaper was torn and peeling, the carpet threadbare, the lights shimmering with cobwebs, and a cloud of dust hung over everything.
Ding Dong, Ding Dong!! The clock struck 12 Midnight and Lindsey, the girl who blinked, heard the howl of wolves and the whistling wind. She had remembered that someone had told her that this was the ”Witching Hour”! Everything that was hiding from the humans would come creeping out, a bit like those howling wolves. Now Lindsey could hear the footsteps of a giant, the whisper and chats of ghosts, the skulls moving their jaws and bones clicking at a distance of the bony skeletons. Lindsey screamed but there was no noises. She looked out of the old rickety window but no one was there! Puff!! She vanished! Instead of being on her bed, she realised that she was floating up high on mid-air. She was a GHOST! Now the truth was revealed, and she was called the Girl from Hell. Boom!!
The noise challenge
One day Wendi said to his mum. ”Mum I can listen to any loud noise without putting my fingers in my ears!”
”Okay Wendi, lets see if you are up to the test but you are just a child so I bet you can’t,” said mum.
”Oh yes I can!” screamed Wendi.
Okay then, put on your trainers and get in the car,” said mum.
Wendi was taken to a science lab, since his mum was a scientist and they placed Wendi in the testing chamber. The machine was put to full blast on a terrible sound and when Wendi heard the noise in the hearing chamber screamed and put his fingers in his ears.
Wendi was wrong and his mum was right and after the experiment Wendi ended up having hearing aids like his cousin Tedi.
On the dryer I saw Aggy my siamese cat , the slow RUMP RUMP of the dryer was obviosly annoying Aggy so I took her into the sitting room . James and George ( my brothers ) were arguing over our pet parrot , Simon.
” BE QUIET ! ” my mother shouted from her bedroom .
The boys imeadiatly stopped and resumed their movie.
I stomped up the stair case , to hear my father snoring very loudly . I rushed on . NO! Mother was watching another episode of Mr. Selfridge again! I then ran into my room, slammed the door shut . Finally some peace and quiet.
W10 – Noise
Sheila was enjoying a wonderful Summer holiday in Greece, on the island of Evia. She was staying in a 5 star, luxury hotel. Everything was always peaceful. Perfect buffet breakfasts, excellent menu lunches and wonderful buffet/menu dinners.
One lovely day, as Sheila was having a seamless rest, after having a flawless, full-body massage, there was noise, there was hustle and there was bustle. People started talking loudly.
Now Sheila was beginning to get angry, seriously angry, you could see the *angometer* rising , the red liquid racing up to the top. Her face was scarlet red. Then she could not hold it…
“BE QQUUIIEETT!!”She bawled…everything went silent……
*Angometer* is an anger meter, and it works just like a thermometer that measure the temperature in your house.
“Good night mum!” I shouted in a wearily voice as I immediately fell into a deep sleep on my warm and cozy single bed. Suddenly, I found myself toughed up with astronaut gear and floating in the middle of a strange looking spaceship. “Where am I?” I bellowed in a voice, which echoed away into the deep midnight. Soon afterwards, a short man came drifting in occasionally bumping gently on the wall but after some effort was standing right next to me and whispered “You will be the first ever person to touch the moons ground. I felt a sort of excitement run up my spine as I awkwardly replied “Yippee!” By now, I was gazing out of the window at the silver moon, which sort of smiled back at me.
Just before the announcement was announced that we were going to get ready for landing, a sudden shock of vibration hit us, which made me jump from fright. I was now staring deeply out off the window and to my horror, I saw a massive black hole near our spaceship. Our spaceship was rocking uncontrollably and minutes later after the discovery all off us were lifted high from the ground and into the blackness…
“OOOOOOOOOOH!” All I could hear were strange noises filling my head so all I could do was scream with all my might.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” I screamed in a high-pitched voice but just then I woke up. This had all been a nightmare. My mum was desperately asking me questions that I tiredly answered.
cant’t stand it
”Mary, Mary its time to feed your brother breakfast for school we can’t be late.” shouted mum. So Mary drowsily picked her brother up and carried her baby brother downstairs. He screamed in her ear and tried to kick his legs. ”MARY, MARY BE QIUET ” roared her dad.
Just then Lucy came in [ Mary’s sister ] and looked at her sister. ‘you test how hot his milk is please’ said Mary handing the bottle over to Lucy while shaking her head. Lucy sipped the milk then dropped the milk bottle and started to cry”Its to hot”whined Lucy.
“OH STOP IT ALL OF YOU !!!!!!!!!”shouted Mary at the top off her voice and stuck her fingers in her ears ”I wish I was at school ”.
Soon enough it was time to go to school now Mary wished she had stayed at home.
Vroom went passing by going over the speed limit
” I wish we lived somewhere quieter,” stated Max
“How about a holiday in the country?” asked Mum
“Okay as long as there will be peace and quiet,” replied Max
Vroom another car whizzed by followed by the screeching brakes of a bus.
The following weekend Max went to the countryside with his parents for a long weekend. However, the first night alone in a different environment, Max had trouble going to sleep. Instead of noisy cars and buses, he found himself wide awake due to the hooting of an owl, the whistling of the wind through the trees and the constant chirping sound of crickets.
After a restless nights sleep, Max sat at the breakfast table, deep in thought, slightly tired said to his parents, “I think I would like to go home now,” explained Max
“Ok lets go then,” replied Mum
One foggy morning, a bunch of dark, misty clouds filled the coal black sky, as the heavy rain and hailstones fell rapidly from above. The tall trees were completely bare and eventually nothing was to be seen due to the thick fog. Immense puddles were forming and soon everyone outside was completely soaking wet, as if they had been dunked in a swimming pool. Somehow, the light from the lamposts was almost completely blocked by the fog, which made it even darker. Everybody was worried that this would be a prime opportunity for burgers to break in, since no one would be able to see them.
As I leapt out of bed and tried to gaze out of my window,it was as if it was completely opaque. I could just about make out the moon, let alone the lamposts. As I was standing there contemplating this very unusual weather in the month of June, I suddenly heard a loud crash of thunder and someone started screaming. I scampered towards my sister’s room to find her standing in the middle of her room with her paper-white, pale fingers deeply embedded in her rose-pink ears. Her mouth had flung open like a dishwasher ready to be loaded and her glistening, white teeth blinded my hazel eyes. She was screaming so much it was like the house was about to collapse. Her scream was so completely deafening, i felt as if my eardrums were going to burst and, not to exaggerate too much, as if there was going to be an earthquake. I think I was in more pain than my sister probably was!
When she eventually and thankfully, stopped screaming, everything turned back to normal, except for one thing……there was a sudden, loud crash that made me sprint downstairs only to find that all the delicate glass jugs had fallen out of the cupboard and had been smashed to smithereens. I stood there with my head in my hands wondering what I was going to do with her?
On Friday 13th, the ancient mansion shone brightly in the moonlight reflecting its light at a gentle whirl of leaves. The whirl became clearer as the wind howled louder as a mysterious dark figure paces out the wooden mansion screeching a high pitched noise.
As he stepped out onto the stained driveway, the leaves parted between him and shot up suddenly with a whooshing noise and circled the figure. The owl started to hoot and the archaic Land Rover’s engine started to violently churn. The leaves circled the figure rapidly before diving down onto him and suddenly. All went quiet and the figure had disappeared.
A slight whoosh of the wind forced some leaves to venture down into the chimney and repeat the sequence of the whirling leaves until. “Scream!”
The figure flew around town on the gloomy night haunting the neighbourhood causing havoc to the children’s dreams. His companions were vicious wolves that transported nightmares into the children’s minds by taking a quick snap at their wrist. After every bite they launched a deafening howl into the atmosphere.
The dark figure’s cape was pitch black and floated across the houses like a dementor from Harry Potter. The noise was so loud it could’ve burst someone ear drum. He pulled back his hood to reveal the terrifying mask of. Scream!
“Be quiet!” shouted Sharon.
“No!” Ollie replied.
“La la la la.” Ollie butted in.
“AARRGGHH!” Sharon shouted.
You could really see the anger in her face now (her face was completely turning red now).
Ollie whispered to himself “Someones getting angry!”
That made Sharon really angry!
“Just shut up” Sharon said
“N – O spels NO”
So Sharon shut the door to her bedroom. Sighing softly to herself Sharon said Finnaly the noise is over but then Ollie came in her bedroom and opened the window. Then suddenly there was a lot of honks, toots and beeps in the room. Putting her hands on her ears and scrunching up her face she thought to herself “noises theires always noises”.
Vroom went a speeding car going over the speed limit.
” I wish we lived somewhere quieter,” remarked Max to his mum.
“How about a holiday in the country?” asked Mum
“Okay as long as there will be peace and quiet,” replied Max
Vroom another car whizzed by, followed by the screeching brakes of a double decker bus.
The following weekend Max went to the countryside with his parents for a long weekend. He looked around he saw colossal trees that towered over him creating shade from the sun. He could hear sheep calling to her lambs in a nearby field. He thought to himself this will be perfect, no noise at all.
However, the first night alone in a dissimilar environment, Max had trouble going to sleep. Instead of noisy cars and buses, he found himself wide awake due to the hooting of a dark brown owl, high screeching of foxes playing in the
garden outside his bedroom window and the constant chirping sound of crickets.
Max was just about to fall asleep when he was woken to the morning cry of cockerel from the local farm, and decided to get up.
After a restless night sleep, Max sat at the breakfast table, deep in thought, utterly tired said to his parents, “I think I would like to go home now,” stated Max
“Ok let’s go then,” replied Mum
“STOP!” Emma screamed at the top of her voice. She felt like she was solider in an earsplitting battlefield with a chattering gun in her hands. All she could hear was babies screaming, cats and dogs howling, a house being built and her parents shouting rude words at each other. Emma couldn’t take this shrilling noise.
So the next day, Emma decided that she would go to her friend’s house to escape the noises. When she got there the same thing was happening! Emma had a massive headache. She swore to herself that she would find a place if it took her all day long.
The next day though was a whole different matter. Her mum and dad had found her in a prison! Emma had been part of a vicious murder. She had killed a builder. She constantly said that the noise was too much that it had to stop at once. Her furious parents had to bail her out of the jail. However Emma said no. Her confused parents stared at her as if she was mad.
“Why not?” Dad retorted.
“Since it is peaceful and quiet her so I can rest in peace.” Emma replied.
“If you stay here now you are going to have to stay here forever because we are not coming back.” Emma’s mother said firmly.
“Okay then, I will stay.” Emma snapped angrily. She lived the rest of her life behind prison bars, sometimes wishing she had gone with her parents and her parents wishing they forced her to come home.
Improved version of one above.

They both were like a hurricane sweeping anyone who was foolish enough to come near. Her parents told her to come out of the unclean cell however Emma said no. Caitlin was sitting silently in her lovely lounge watching her tiny TV. She was a kind young lady, always looking after other people and being thoughtful.
Suddenly her tiny ears started to tingle. Caitlin could hear beautiful singing and checked around her but nobody was there. At that very moment she felt like steaming smoke was going to zoom out of her tiny ears. When suddenly she remembered her mums stories about minute fairies. Could it be that there was minute smoke fairies in her ears?
Caitlins ears tingled even more when “pop!” out came a fairy. She was a tiny fairy wearing a pretty pink dress, but she was angry. “First of all we are brain fairies not smoke Faries! Infact smoke fairies are just myths. Next fairies can be tough not just pretty but our wings are delicate!”
Caitlin got the chance to feel the fairies wings. They were delicate. “Put your thilthy, funny fingers on your enormous ears when it’s noisy and us fairies will be safe,” she explained and flew back into Caitlins ear. The angry fairy did have a point. So Caitlin put her fingers in her ears every time it was too noisy and always believed in fairies.
One glorious day a boy called Josh was going to do his school home homework. He had to build a rocket and couldn’t wait. He was passionate but one thing bothered him. His loud little, Brother Ben! Josh started his work, suddenly Ben shouted BEEP! BEEP! Ben! Reiterated Josh and he ran to the garden. He sat on the emerald grass to do his homework. BUZZ! BUZZ! In the corner of his eye he saw a stripy injurious bee collecting nectar from the nearby flowers. All this noise is annoying! Josh shrieked and he stomped into the kitchen. It had a fragment smell with lots of sizzling sounds. SIZZLE! SIZZLE! It made Josh ravenous, but it was too loud. Mum! Josh screamed, “The rocket looks amazing” exclaimed Mum. Josh! Ben shouted, call it the noisy rocket!
I stomped up the stairs.
“George I don’t want to hear it” I bellowed at my younger brother
“but-but its …..” hesitated my brother
“I do not want to hear it” I screamed at my brother and with that I slammed the door of my bedroom.
Soon my mother came in.
” Janet , why are you so angry with….” asked mother
” I am sick and tired of hearing his whiny voice.” replied Janet almost instantly
” You can go to Molly’s house.” said mother
“Hooray!” I screeched as ran outside.
Today had been a horrible day
It made me sad and led me astray
You left me broken on the cold floor
All alone and trapped behind the door
People say the truth hurts the most
And that’s what makes my heart roast
I hope to see a smile on your flawless face
Because you should know that I am in the right place
Why did you ever have to leave me?
Your absence is worse than a sting of a bee
Deep down I know you will leave
I guess that’s why I always grieve
What we had was something
But it ended up being nothing
To me you were an amazing friend
And even the last three letters of that word spelt end…
On a bright lovely morning, a boy named Evan was asleep in bed but was awoken by his older brother. Evan’s older brother pushed him out of his bed and left a list of chores slowly drifting down onto the floor. Evan was furious because he noticed that the chores were for his older brother but he couldn’t get away with not doing the chores. Outside in the coldest part of the day, dawn, Evan was putting the washing on the washing line with his night soot on then he had to wash the dishes, clean the living room and kitchen and finally cut the hedge inside his garden. When it was done the time was six ‘o clock so Evan went to watch his favourite show on TV Garfield but his dad was watching cricket all day but Evan’s dad also hides the remote so Evan couldn’t watch TV. At the end of the day everyone in the house called Evan to get their cereal.
“ ENOUGH YOU CAN’T RULE MY LIFE!!!”
THE DEVASTATING CHRISTMAS
It was Christmas Eve in England which is good for people but bad for turkeys. I was next in line to become stuffed with chicken; the first turkey just got shoved in the oven since the turkey was so skinny.
I fell asleep and had a strange dream it was me trying to escape from the farmer and my bad fate. My dream could not be finished because the farmer plodded in with immense anger. I did exactly what I did in my dream ; when the farmer came closer I ran between his legs , jumped into the farmers house and ran into the boys room to hide under the bed; a few seconds later a young boy came and took me to the farmer
I couldn’t do anything about it – I looked outside and all the turkeys were gasping in consternation.
The farmer dragged me and with no one watching the last thing I saw was a razor sharp knife ….
THE MAGICAL SHED
Elle was going to her grans house for a few days which was a shame for her but not for Ellie her sister.
They both went outside to play. When behind the garden they saw a mysterious shed. After a gaze Elle creaked the door open. There was nothing in it surprisingly.
Gran called us to have soup. I wish we had McDonalds Elle wished, with a large bang Elle and Ellie were in McDonalds.
Elle knew it was something to do with the shed , she wished she wished she was a teenager and Elle felt herself growing taller , I wish was in grans garden In a flash she was there , Gran noticed what Elle was doing and Gran told her if she did it one more time she’ll stay there .
Elle didn’t believe it so she wished to go to the top of the world and because of her stubborness she was finnaly taken by aliens.
I woke up on Saturday morning thinking it was going to be relaxing but I was mistaken. The first thing I said was Shosh! I went for a walk out of the commotion in the house.
I found a few friends talking they were laughing and shouting so I said Shosh ! The next thing I knew I was running in circles muttering Shosh until I got home.
Finally I got home and my brother shouted at me for making noise, as if he hasn’t been making noise I whispered. The last thing I heard was my dad snoring Shosh!
I at last had some peace and quiet and was calmer .
It was Laurens birthday and her mum had a headache so she asked Lauren to keep it down but she couldn’t, ” please be quiet Lauren” ” I’m so sorry mum but me and the girls are really excited for the party today” ” OK but can you girls go upstairs then please thank you” so the girls when up stars quietly.” MUUUM” ” What Luke” “The dog keeps barking for no reason and little sis keeps crying and dad keeps shouting at the TV for the football,” ” I know Luke but you need to stay calm why don’t you come shopping with me” “alright then mum” so Luke and his mum went shopping but when they got there it was so busy and noisy, so they shopped and went back home. But when they got home the girls where screaming at the dad because of the baby so mum put the shopping down went into the living room and shouted”QUIET EVERYONE” everyone then stopped and looked at mum in shock ” please all of you quiet all I’ve heard today is screaming or moaning I have a headache so quiet please,” so everyone was quiet and mum went and had a sleep and when she got up she felt a lot better than earlier today. So the girls had their party dad watched football with Luke of course, and mum and the baby sat their and played and read a story together. The house was a lot more peaceful than this morning and everyone was happy.
The young lady squealed with fear as a scary storm raged covering the sky with black clouds. The wind swept through the town making trees crashing to the ground and swept bushes up into the sky and smashing them down onto peoples cars.
The torrential rain made the gutters like banks of rivers, overflowing with water and covering the path. The lightning flashed sending forks into the black sky, thunder crashed and peoples umbrellas blew inside out as people scurried for cover.
All of a sudden, it went quiet, the sun shone like nothing had happened. People ventured out and started to clear up the horrendous mess the storm brought with it. The young lady was relieved that the storm had passed and set out to help the town clear up.

In London, there lived a girl called Cheryl and she was well known for her music that she produced. She led her own band called the Fangz and everyone adored her, well, apart from the fact that the noise level could get too high and it would annoy her neighbours. Cheryl loved music so much that she played it every night and even through her meal times! One night, Cheryl was asked to do a concert at the O2 and she agreed. The news spread like wildfire and when Cheryl stepped out onto the stage, millions of people from around the world were beaming at her. The music came on and her band started dancing along to it, but Cheryl was not singing. Her hands were in her ears and her face was scrunched up. It was clear that she hated the music. When has Cheryl ever hated music? The answer is never. The crowd stopped smiling and left the arena as quick as a flash. The Fangz cut their dance routine short and then they looked at Cheryl who was now frowning. One of the band members questioned her, “Um…, Cheryl. Are you OK? It’s not like you to hate music,” But Cheryl didn’t take any notice. She decided that she was not going to be a singer anymore. Music was the worst thing in the universe.
Down in a jostling jungle, amazing, but deafening noises can be heard. The tweets of birds reverberate in the pastel-blue sky. Rustling leaves gently float down to the ground like feathers. Silent, surreptitious squirrels leap from one place to another, searching for some delicious food. Subsequently, the miniscule creatures obtain some firm nuts, and energetically scamper upon the roofs of trees like wooden tentacles. They clandestinely hop onto a sharp, solid branch and idly crunch on their food. The creatures conclude their crusade before the winter for their peaceful, tranquil hibernation.
Johnny’s annoying family
BARK BARK BARK!
“BE QUIET DOG!” shouted johnny as he was writing BARK BARK BARK!
“JOHNNY YOU BE QUIET!” said his strict aunt.
“great now I forgot what to write” as Johnny said while he was talking to himself.
but as soon as Johnny finished his work the P.C crashed,
“wow just wow.” whispered Johnny to himself again.
but then he could hear a Lamborghini race down his street and while he was looking at that he accidentally knocked his 600 ml bottle of coke over straight on his P.C SPLASH! So his keys were ACTUALLY STICKY! (sorry for the bad joke) He also accidentally posted his comment click from the noises week and straight away he got an F on his test bloop! then he couldn’t get rid of it because his mouse broke cli cli and the thingy (the thing that you use if you don’t have a mouse) on the P.C got jammed then BANG! he could hear the computer’s insides fizzing away so he had to get a new computer (and was also grounded for a month)!

Mariam was sitting quietly in the lounge, doing her homework. It was very difficult though because everywhere there were noises. Upstairs her brother was fighting , in the kitchen the dishwasher was buzzing, in the sitting room her dad was screaming and watching football and even in the garden, her mum was mowing the lawn. Mariam thought hard, where could she do her homework. Suddenly, an idea rang in her head, the shed! Mariam went in the peaceful shed where she was never disturbed.
It was a sunny Saturday morning and Emma was attempting to have a tranquil sleep, but all she heard was: Bill and Bob crying, the vicious dog barking and the house extension being constructed. “Shut up!”, she bellowed angrily, but the din did not cease “Uggggghhhhh” Emma moaned as she went outside and bumped into her neighbor, Isabelle.
“Hey,” said Isabelle “Why are you so miserable?”
“It’s just because I can’t sleep without any noise”
“Well you better be going”, and so she did. Sighing, she laid helplessly on her bed and rested, but just then the calamity stopped for a second… and continued,
“I’m home!” announced teenage Vanessa, after her unsurprisingly heated school, social life.
“Lovely to see you again young Vanessa.” Elder Nan and Granddad called in a rhythmic manner.
“Please just call me Elsa!” she muttered in a familiar annoyed tone.
“Madame V,” started her father,” You may not be a movie star yet but you most certainly have the attitude to be a grumpy one!” Most people call her Elsa because of her snowy, white locks of hair that shone in the sunlight. “just like your Mother.”
“I’m going to get an early night I am completely worn out.”
Silence flew through the empty house but next door it was a different story…
BOOM! BASH! BOOM! BOOM!BOOM! BASH! Was all Elsa could hear pounding in her ear drums like some one was going to pound out her ear drums. It was a school night and exams were coming up people acting like they were millionaires so she got up put her clothes on and went next door KNOCK KNOCK “WHATS UP GIRL COME TO PARTY”
“NO I’VE COME TO TELL YOU TO SHUT UP PEOPLE AROUND THE NEIGHBOUR HOOD ARE TRYING TO REWIND FOR THE EXAMS COMING UP ITS OKAY IF YOU LOT DON’T DO IT JUST GIVE A BAD EXAMPLE ON YOUR CHILDREN, IF YOU HAVE ANY AND STRUGGLE ON BENEFITS!” Annoyed she dragged herself back to bed unprepared for the exit exam.
